The Global Champions Tour (GCT) is the world's most prestigious show jumping circuit and the one with the most prize money on offer.

The circuit is approved by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI).

The competition comprises various show jumping contests at the highest international level, held in emblematic cities. The Global Champions Tour is considered the Formula 1 of the equestrian world.

The top 30 horsemen and horsewomen from the world ranking are invited to take part in each leg.

During the season the ranking is updated based on the classification obtained in each of the contested Grand Prixs.

The top 25 from the GCT ranking participate in the Final.

Each of the countries included on the tour may only host one leg of the circuit.
