SAN VICENTE MÁRTIR

Vicente was a young deacon who was martyred in Valencia by order of the Roman emperor Diocleciano in the year 303, a deed that caused great unrest among the people of the city.

Vicente was named as the Patron Saint of the city and his execution is remembered through ceremonial events that take place in his honour.
