Awards:- Blue Flag
Located within the Parque Natural de La Albufera between
the Gola de Puchol and Gola del Perellonet channels, this beach is the municipality's
only wild beach. The beach is 5 kilometres long and is located within the protection
zone of the PRUG (Master Plan for the Use and Management of the Parque Natural
de la Albufera). This extraordinary natural environment has a rich ecosystem
where all types of vegetation, such as pines, palms, Kermes oaks, mastic trees
and honeysuckle, is found among the lagoons and malladas (depressions between
sand dunes). The vegetation also provides shelter to numerous birds, making
it an attractive site for the conservation and protection of its natural resources.
