Due to the wide range of activities on offer in the city, Valencia is ideal to visit with children, whatever the season. There is always a place for kids’ activities in Valencia’s programme of events and festivities. If you’re lucky enough to be able to visit Valencia when a festival is on, don’t miss the chance.

Christmas

December and the first week of January sees the best Circuses comes to town, so we can all enjoy the Greatest Show on Earth. There are special Christmas activities such as the Plaza de la Navidad (at the Nuevo Centro shopping Centre), Christmas festivals at the City of Arts and Sciences and Colon Market, craft markets, the Procession of the Three Kings, the Christmas Fair and much more.

15 to 19 March - Numerous parades overtake the city streets in the first two weeks of March, providing a wonderful spectacle and much amusement. The fallas monuments, the Ninot Exhibition (in which you can vote to save the best Ninot from being burned), the Cridà (the traditional calling by the Fallera Mayor, from the Serrano Towers) and many more activities make up a programme to suit all ages and tastes.

The July Fair is a feast of traditional and not so traditional activities, and entertainment. Perhaps the most spectacular event is the ‘Battle of the Flowers’ in the Paseo de la Alameda. This aromatic ‘war’ has to be seen to be believed.
