| Valencia City Council has given priority to a project that aims to eliminate access barriers throughout the city, in order to create a city open to all. A total of 6,237 ramps between the pavement and road, the removal of drainage obstacles and pot holes, the installation of special paving and acoustic traffic lights at road crossings will all help make the city and its wonderful street-life more accessible for everyone to enjoy. Nevertheless we have to say that there is still a lot to do, especially in the old quarter of the city there are very few modern facilities and the narrow winding streets are shared by pedestrians and cars alike - respect and due care must be shown at all times. |
